INFRA Day: Doing Business with International Finance Institutions

Multilateral institutions finance more than $190 billion in development projects and require supply of goods, works, and consulting services. 

This events aims to provide Swiss companies with greater access to business opportunities in large infrastructure projects abroad financed by International Finance Institutions, as well as addressing the private sector engagement in infrastructure finance. The event will promote interest and capacity building among Swiss consultants, contractors, suppliers, financiers, and business associations in pursuing business opportunities with Multilateral Development Banks and understanding their processes, including:

• Brief introduction of the Swiss infrastructure mandate and IFI Competence Center
• Understanding IFIs activities and processes
• Private sector’s role in infrastructure finance
• Networking with IFI representatives
• Showcasing Swiss infrastructure solutions
• Learning from Swiss companies working with IFIs
• Establishing relationships with Team Switzerland (SECO, Swiss business associations)
• Presenting database with infrastructure projects GoGlobal Cockpit
