The Fuel Cell Expo (FC EXPO) is a leading international exhibition showcasing various technologies, components, materials, devices and finished fuel cells for hydrogen and fuel cell R&D and manufacturing, taking place twice a year in the Tokyo area (March and September). It is held as part of the World Smart Energy Week, alongside exhibitions for wind energy, batteries, PV systems, smart grid, biomass and thermal power, which contributes to a large visitor number every year.

Japan was the first country worldwide to present a nationwide hydrogen strategy and has established hydrogen and ammonia as important pillars of its strategy to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. Major Japanese industrial players are keen to learn about new hydrogen technologies that can contribute to cost reduction and system optimization.
