SWISS Pavilion @ Mobile World Congress 2024

World leading technology show for the connectivity industry

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is the world's most important and influential congress with tens of thousands senior decision makers around the mobile industry. Parallel to the congress, an exhibition fair is organized in 9 halls (8 for MWC, 1 for 4YFN). Take the chance to network with global mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers and vendors, and to accelerate your product, business, or idea in our top located double deck country pavilion. Launch your product/solution to the world and generate promising quality leads with us. In 2023, approximately 2,400 companies from over 200 countries exhibited and there were approximately 88,500 visitors. The SWISS Pavilion 2024 at MWCs top position in Hall 5 is an island booth of 185m2 ground space with an upper deck of ca. 50m2 and will host approx. 15 SME's and Scaleups/Startups from the Innosuisse coaching program.

SWISS Pavilion @ Mobile World Congress

MWC2024 will again return to its usual format with a strong emphasis on physical presence spanning across 9 halls, featuring the participation of industry-leading brands.

Industry focus:

Connecting everything:
By 2030, there will be 6.3 billion unique mobile subscribers and five billion global 5G connections, necessitating collaborative efforts among network stakeholders to create adaptable, automated, and cost-efficient networks for IoT devices, benefiting both businesses and consumers.

5G and beyond:
The evolution of 5G and the emergence of 6G are fostering network-edge intelligence, offering rapid learning, self-orchestration, and innovative device interactions, yet the industry's faster mobile generation rollouts pose challenges for long-term return on investment amidst a rapidly advancing landscape of new features and opportunities.

Humanising AI:
Generative AI's impact is significant, with applications ranging from optimizing network and cloud processes to enhancing natural interactions and personalized customer experiences. The evolving landscape, centered on data and data management, promises disruptive yet exciting changes, with much more innovation to come.

Manufacturing DX:
Manufacturers are investing heavily in digital strategies, with 5G offering the potential to boost efficiency and cut costs in smart factories and warehouses through private wireless networks and data-driven solutions. The broader embrace of AI and robotics, backed by initiatives like those from the European Commission, is driving the realization of Industry 4.0's full potential.

Game changers:
The technological landscape for 2024 is marked by shifts from big data to personalized experiences through AI, the significant investment in quantum computing promising exponential speed gains, and the blurring of boundaries between digital and physical worlds with extended reality. As use cases and ecosystems evolve, the future of technology, including the potential dominance of AR/VR headsets or ambient assistants in smartphones, is taking shape today.

Our digital DNA:
Sustainability, diversity, and talent acquisition have become central strategic priorities within the telecom sector, surpassing mere corporate social responsibility. However, the industry faces challenges in terms of declining women in tech leadership roles and falling short of UN sustainability targets as it evolves toward a digital future that necessitates making societal change an integral part of its digital DNA.
