SWISS Pavilion @ Smart City Expo World Congress 2017
The “Smart Cities” industry will reach an estimated global market value of USD 27.5 billion by 2023. Opportunities arise from a wide range of sectors such as city planning, smart energy, big data management, the Internet of Things, and mobility infrastructures.
The SCEWC is one of the most important event for Smart Cities. The 2016 edition recorded its best-ever figures with 16,688 visitors, 591 exhibitors and 420 speakers representing 600 cities. Attendees shared the latest thinking on current and future issues related to urban growth and development. They all met and networked in a 20,000 sqm venue.
Cities with their own stands showcasing their projects and solutions during the 2016 edition include New York, Berlin, Casablanca, Graz, Karlsruhe, London, Luxembourg, Quebec, Seoul, Vienna, Tel Aviv, Copenhagen, Medellín and Barcelona. In addition, many leading companies showcased in the sectors of mobility, communications and technology, such as Cisco, Microsoft, FCC, Ferrovial, Fiware, MasterCard, Philips, Seat, Siemens, Telefónica, Suez, SAP and Telekom, amongst others.
Switzerland Global Enterprise, in collaboration with Swiss Business Hub Spain, will be present for the second time at this groundbreaking event with a SWISS Pavilion. The goal is to allow companies to present Swiss state-of-the-art smart solutions and technologies that can help cities around the world to redefine their future. The Swiss Pavilion will also serve as the meeting point for Swiss companies, industry associations and local, regional or federal authorities present at SCEWC, either as attendees or speakers.
