The third Swiss Education Fair (SEF) China 2021 will take place on Saturday, December 4th in Guangzhou. The fair is co-organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise & the Swiss Business Hub China. It is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou.

The Chinese overseas education market has maintained a positive growth according to the data from China’s Ministry of Education. The number of Chinese students studying abroad reached 703’500 in 2019, up 6.25 percent from a year earlier. Although overseas study market globally is much hit due to the pandemic, Chinese interest in overseas study is little impacted. According to the white paper “How COVID-19 is Impacting Prospective International Students Across the Globe” released last year by Quacquarelli Symonds, only 4% of Chinese respondents decide to give up their plan to study overseas, lowest among the four surveyed countries / regions of China, India, the European Union and North America.
Switzerland boasts some of the most reputable curricula in technological research facilities, hotel management schools, public and private universities as well as boarding schools and business schools, and the third Swiss Education Fair (SEF) China 2021 will present a platform for Swiss education institutions to showcase their latest programs and personally interact with prospective students and their parents.

• One table with space for a pop-up banner in the exhibition venue.
• Targeted and timely marketing campaign including digital marketing. The final media plan is to be confirmed.
• Dedicated SEF China website to promote the fair and to feature your schools. The website acts as a continuous platform to promote your programs even after the fair.
• SEF Brochure featuring 1-full page information on the participating school to be used at SEF, as well as throughout the year at other Swiss education promotion activities/events.
• Opening Speech and visit of a representative from the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing and Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou.
Due to the pandemic, travel is difficult and quarantine is still foreseen if you travel to China. If you cannot attend in person, we strongly recommend you to invite your local representatives, partners or alumni to help host your table. If you are not going to send anyone, we can offer the below services included in the prices to make sure you won’t miss this opportunity.
• A translator will be assigned to host your table (without extra charge). The translator will coordinate the communication between you and onsite visitors via digital tools (tbd, i.e. WeChat and Skype). Besides communication coordination, the translator will take notes about the interested visitors and send the notes back to you after the event for follow-ups.
• For pitch part, you may record a video in advance and we will play it onsite.
• For panel discussion (or alumni sharing, dialogue, tbc), we’ll combine both physical presence and virtual attendance by having speakers online and projecting the speakers on big screen.
• We can help you print out pop-up banner and catalogues locally. Please kindly note the relevant cost will be at your expense.
If you need any further package enhancements, such as additional support and displays at the fair, do let us know and we can adjust the offer according to your requirements.
Please also note that a minimum amount of participant schools will be required in order for us to be able to organize the fair in both cities.

We strive to make the SEF an effective and attractive platform for our esteemed participating schools. To attract even more families, we are working on a potential collaboration with Switzerland Tourism (ST) in order to spread the news on SEF further. The details will be available at a later stage if this collaboration is confirmed.
