Canada is open for business!
It’s important to note that Canada is very much open for business, now more than ever. It consistently ranks high in the World Bank’s “Doing Business Index,” it has recovered nicely from the pandemic, has consumers with disposable income, and is looking more and more toward e-commerce.
As Michel Greiche, Trade Officer at Swiss Business Hub Canada, said in our Webinar last year, “Canadians are shopping online like never before.” The growth in e-commerce, even before the pandemic, has been, in his words, “phenomenal,” with $43 billion being spent online in 2019, a number that is expected to nearly double by 2024.
