Webinar: Building an E-Commerce Bridge Between Switzerland and Canada

Digital Branding and Marketing Strategies for the Canadian Market

The U.S. market isn't the only retail opportunity in North America. Canada has a robust economy, where Swiss products may find enthusiastic consumers. Our webinar will show Swiss SMEs how to prepare their digital footprint in Canada's thriving e-commerce market."

Canada is open for business!
It’s important to note that Canada is very much open for business, now more than ever. It consistently ranks high in the World Bank’s “Doing Business Index,” it has recovered nicely from the pandemic, has consumers with disposable income, and is looking more and more toward e-commerce.

As Michel Greiche, Trade Officer at Swiss Business Hub Canada, said in our Webinar last year, “Canadians are shopping online like never before.” The growth in e-commerce, even before the pandemic, has been, in his words, “phenomenal,” with $43 billion being spent online in 2019, a number that is expected to nearly double by 2024.

Canada: Near and far from the U.S.
It’s also important for any Swiss SME, whether it wants to introduce a new brand or simply accelerate the penetration of an existing one, to have a nuanced understanding of the Canadian consumer—75 percent of whom live within 100 miles of the U.S. border—and how they are different, and similar, to their counterparts to the south.

In our upcoming Webinar, “Digital Branding and Marketing Strategies for the Canadian Market,” we here at S-GE along with our e-commerce expert in Canada, Karim Salabi, Partner at Ascendis Consulting, will cover best practices in the areas of new customer acquisition, e-commerce, e-mail marketing, social-media marketing, and much more. E-commerce is not the future, it’s the here and now. And there’s no better place to look for opportunity than Canada.
