Dr. Marc Pollefeys
Dr. Marc Pollefeys

Marc Pollefeys is Director of the Mixed Reality and AI Zurich lab and the Director of Science leading a team of scientist and engineers to develop advanced perception capabilities for HoloLens at Microsoft. He has also been Full Professor in Computer Science at the Institute for Computational Science at ETH Zurich since August 2007. His research focuses mainly on computer vision. Marc has received several prizes for his research, including a Marr prize, an NSF CAREER award and a Packard Fellowship. He has authored or co-authored more than 90 peer-reviewed or invited papers. Marc was the co-chair of the Third Symposium on 3D Data Processing, Visualization and Transmission and has organized workshops and courses at major vision and graphics conferences. Dr. Pollefey is on the Editorial Board of the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, the International Journal of Computer Vision and Foundations and Trends in Computer Graphics and Computer Vision.

Peter has a long-standing experience from working since 23 years in the consulting and services industry becoming a trusted advisor of many large national and multi-national companies from strategy & innovation to hands-on transformation, people engagement & execution. In October 2020, Peter was named amongst the 100 most important digital shapers in Switzerland by the management magazine Bilanz and the newspaper Handelszeitung. Before joining PwC, Peter was the in the management board of IBM Europe and for many years in charge of the digital division IBMiX and the data & analytics.

Dr. L. Andrea Dunbar

Andrea is head of the Edge AI and Vision group at CSEM. Andrea Dunbar received her PhD from Trinity College, Dublin in 2002 and her eMBA from EPFL in 2016. Current research areas of her group include computer vision, machine learning, embedded programming and hyperspectral imaging focussing especially in constrained environments. Andrea has published more than 60 papers in international journals and conferences and has a Google scholar h-index 19.  She also lectures digitalization on the eMBA course at EPFL and is on the board of directors for the Cantonal Bank of Neuchâtel.

Ricard Delgado, PhD
Ricard Delgado, PhD

Ricard, is the Head of the Embedded Software group scientist driving the Digital Health activity within CSEM. Trained as a Mathematician and an Engineer, he obtained his Ph.D. on biomedical image analysis from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) within the SystemsX.ch consortium, the Swiss research initiative for the promotion of Systems Biology. He was awarded with the SSBE Research Award 2013 from the Swiss Society of Biomedical Engineering for the best PhD thesis, and the ABB Award 2014 for his “contributions to the field of bioimage informatics.” His current research focuses on AI applied to biomedical embedded systems, wearable technology, and their impact on the future of healthcare and the MedTech industry with more than 60 scientific publications on the topic.
