Cleantech market Russia

Successful entry into the Russian cleantech market

Russia is an attractive cleantech market. Jarek Lach, Head of Sales CIS at BRUGG Rohrsystem AG know all about this. His company has successfully mastered entry into Russia. You too can now also benefit from his experience and tips: In our webinar, he talks about getting into the Russian cleantech market, how this succeeded and what obstacles had to be overcome on the way.

Russia is the fourth-biggest market in Europe in the cleantech area. It has now grown 22 percent in the last five years. The forecasts for the future are also good. Consequently, Russia is an attractive market for Swiss SMEs. However, only those who know the country and culture will succeed. In Russia, so much is different. Customs processes are difficult, expensive and time-consuming. Obtaining approvals and certifications requires time and nerve - the decision processes are often very lengthy. The language can also be a problem; many top managers do not speak any foreign language. The good news: Entry into the Russian cleantech market admittedly does involve a number of hurdles, but all of them can be overcome.

Market entry Russia - challenging, but feasible
Anyone who envisages getting into the cleantech market in Russia must have a lot of time and prepare very well. There are no fast successes here. A targeted and well thought-out strategy is all the more important: Nothing will happen without a local partner who is familiar with and understands the mentality, culture, language and business practices. At the beginning, trade fairs in particular can be very helpful. Here you can show that you are active in Russia, meet potential customers or partners and get to know the competition.

Webinar: talking to Jarek Lach
This was the path taken by Jarek Lach, Head of Sales CIS at BRUGG Rohrsystem AG and taken successfully: Since 2015, the Swiss company has been able to establish itself on the Russian cleantech market. Jarek Lach will reveal to you how a successful market entry was achieved, what obstacles had to be overcome and what should absolutely be avoided. He will be pleased to share his experience with you and answer your questions. In addition, we will present three of the most important Russian trade fairs that are coming up; WasteTech and EcwaTech in September 2021 and Aquatherm in February 2022.
