Companies will be given an additional two years to affix the new product safety marking, allowing thousands of businesses to focus on growth, Business Secretary Grant Shapps announced on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Simplifications in the area of labeling requirements and certificate verification were announced back in July 2022.
Please note that different rules apply to medical devices, construction products, cable cars, portable pressure equipment, unmanned aircraft, rail vehicles and marine equipment.
In addition, on November 17, Switzerland and the United Kingdom signed an agreement on mutual recognition of conformity assessments for five additional product areas.
