Tune Insight secures pre-seed round for its infrastructure-agnostic solutions

Lausanne-based start-up Tune Insight, a B2B software provider of infrastructure-agnostic solutions, has announced closing a pre-seed funding round.

Tune Insight Team
Tune Insight orchestrates secure collaborations on sensitive data between multiple organizations for them to extract collective insights.

Today’s organizations are heavily data-centric when required to make sound decisions. According to data from Forrester, more than 56% of the companies in the enterprise data and analytics market acknowledge that their own data is not enough, and they plan on expanding their ability to source external data. Nevertheless, their expansion and collaboration with others is prevented on sensitive or confidential data due to risk of data leaks or because of data-privacy concerns and regulations.

Incubated at the EPFL Laboratory for Data Security in Lausanne (canton of Vaud), Tune Insight’s B2B software provides infrastructure-agnostic solutions to enable secure collaborative analytics and machine learning in federated scenarios between several organizations, enabling them to extract collective insights from confidential data from the whole network of participating organizations, while they remain in full control of their own data. Tune Insight software can be deployed on-premise or in cloud instances, and it avoids any data transfer while keeping all communications and computations encrypted.

Years of research for a groundbreaking technology

With a deployment in Swiss university hospitals and customer-funded projects in the insurance and cybersecurity businesses, Tune Insight closed a pre-seed financing round with Wingman Ventures. The start-up will use the funds to accelerate product development, strengthen the team, and onboard more customers.

According to Pascal Mathis, Founder Partner at Wingman Ventures, who is joining the company’s board of directors : “It is amazing to see the determination of the Tune Insight team. Years of research have led to this groundbreaking technology and finally the time is right to apply it in real business cases. I am convinced that many enterprises will love the possibility to complement their own datasets with additional data from external entities in a fully trustworthy environment.”
