In its league table of the best business schools in Europe for 2021, the Financial Times has ranked the University of St.Gallen (HSG) in sixth place. The European Business School Rankings, which consolidate four individual rankings published by the international business newspaper over the course of a year, are released on an annual basis. For the ninth successive year, HSG has made it into the top ten.

In a press release, HSG explains that its Masters in Strategy and International Management (SIM), the full-time MBA, the Executive MBA, and the Custom & Open Executive Education programs all contributed to a very pleasing overall result in a highly competitive landscape. In the global individual rankings of Masters management programs, HSG secured top spot in 2021 thanks to its Masters in Strategy and International Management for the eleventh time in a row. The other Masters courses mentioned are each classified in the top 25 in Europe. In addition, HSG was ranked in sixth place worldwide for its Masters in Banking & Finance in the individual Financial Times rankings. However, this was not included in the results of the European Business School Rankings.

As was the case in the previous year, the IMD Business School Lausanne secured tenth place in the rankings. However, HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne slipped from its previous ranking of 40th in the previous year to 51st position this year. The School of Management and Law at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) was ranked in 83rd place (previous year: 73rd).

Once again, HEC Paris secured top spot in the overall rankings, with London Business School following in second place, as was also the case last year.
