Business Opportunities in the Rail and Road Sector in Norway

In September 2021, Norway had its parliamentary elections, leading to a change in Government and as a result, a change in the framework conditions in the railway and road sector. Norway is an attractive market for international companies, and for Switzerland and Swiss SMEs there are numerous business opportunities to win future tenders on road and rail.

This report provides an overview of the Norwegian market, as well as examples of specific business opportunities. Further company-specific opportunities can be explored. In addition, the report explains the different stages of a Norwegian tender process with a specific focus on how Swiss SMEs can take part in a tender process. Enclosed with the report is also an appendix comprising an overview of planned projects at the local and regional level in Norway, i.e., concrete business opportunities for the SME-segment.
