S-GE launches sustainability toolbox

Swiss exporters are being increasingly impacted by rising demands in the area of sustainability – but new sources of support are emerging at the same time. S-GE’s sustainability toolbox is intended to help Swiss exporters gain an overview of the situation.
The global trend towards greater sustainability is having an increasing impact on Swiss companies’ export business. In recent months and years, Europe, in particular, has seen a large number of regulations be introduced that are highly significant for local exporters. At the start of the year, S-GE launched a new partnership with EcoVadis. This supports Swiss companies in fulfilling their duty of care and satisfying international sustainability standards and ESG compliance requirements. In addition, there are a multitude of other information platforms, service providers and sources of assistance.
Overview of services to assist with sustainability in the export space
S-GE is launching a new sustainability toolbox to make it easier for Swiss exporters to understand sustainability requirements and their impact and to take the necessary steps. The toolbox is intended to help create an overview of the various services available to address sustainability-related challenges.
Focus areas of the toolbox
The toolbox, which is currently only available in English, divides the tools into three focus areas of relevance to the export business: sustainable supply chains, ESG reporting and market access & compliance. You can also search by keyword within the various sub-categories and access around 100 tools, which are described and linked. For example, the platform features a CSR risk-checking tool supported by Seco, which enables companies to assess their risks along the entire international value chain.
