For the eighth time in a row, Switzerland is taking part in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest tech fair, in Las Vegas. Following the theme “Step into the future: the next AI frontier”, 24 Swiss companies will present their forward-thinking innovations from January 6 to 9, 2026. Switzerland Global Enterprise and Presence Switzerland are organizing the Swiss delegation at this important tech fair – partly with the aim of positioning Switzerland as the world’s leading location for innovation and technology.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping the global economy and powering innovation in almost all industries. Switzerland plays a leading role in this respect – particularly in the research and development of responsible and trustworthy AI applications. International technology companies are making targeted investments in Switzerland and cooperating closely with Swiss research institutions and the country’s dynamic start-up scene. This close collaboration between science, business and start-ups makes Switzerland a global hotspot for pioneering AI solutions.

CES in Las Vegas, one of the most important trade fairs for electronics and digital technology, is offering 24 Swiss companies, including many start-ups, the opportunity to present their innovations to a tech-savvy global audience in one of the swisstech pavilions. CES 2026 will attract around 4,500 exhibitors and 140,000 visitors, including over 6,500 global media professionals.

Companies appearing under the umbrella of “swisstech”

Whether it’s ultra-thin solar cells that are capable of utilizing even low ambient light, smart glasses for people with visual impairments or small solid-state batteries that charge in just one minute and are capable of withstanding even extreme temperatures: the innovations to be presented by Swiss exhibitors at CES 2026 are groundbreaking. One participating start-up, Nutrix – a developer of smart saliva biosensors – has won a CES Innovation Award for the second time in succession. It will receive the award in 2026 for its tSense testosterone sensor.

“We are proud of the strong Swiss delegation in Las Vegas. The exhibiting companies are leaders in AI and other digital technologies and thus exemplify Switzerland as a hub of innovation and technology,” says Patrik Wermelinger, Chief Investment Promotion Officer at Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE).

The main objective of the trade fair presence is growth opportunities for Swiss SMEs: Together with our partners, we enable companies to establish their technologies internationally and conquer new markets.

The new technologies will be presented as part of the swisstech presence, which is co-organized by S-GE and Presence Switzerland and supported by partners Innosuisse and Swissnex as well as by the Swiss Embassy in the USA.

One highlight of Switzerland’s presence at CES will be the presentation of the new Alps supercomputer from Lugano – one of the most powerful systems in Europe. It produces the necessary computing capacity for demanding applications and research. This is complemented by Apertus, a joint AI project between ETH, EPFL and the Swiss Supercomputing Center (CSCS). It makes cutting-edge AI technology freely available, strengthening digital sovereignty and creating trust in the use of AI. This combination makes Switzerland a strategic location for secure and responsible AI development.

Another innovation highlight is Geneva-based Neurosoft Bioelectronics, a company that is shaping the future of neurotechnology. With secure, scalable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), this start-up seeks to provide unprecedented access to neural data. At the same time, it is working on the world’s most scalable platform for high-quality brain data, as well as an AI model of the human cortex that could enable future treatment options for neurodegenerative diseases, provide fresh insight into the brain and facilitate the next generation of BCIs for the general public.

Networking with investors and partners

As the first point of contact for internationalization issues, S-GE and the team on site (Swiss Business Hub USA) prepare the participating companies specifically for entering the US market, taking into account the present challenging customs situation. At CES, companies are networked directly with potential business partners, or are given the opportunity to appear before foreign investors and relevant partners. The majority of the start-ups will receive financial support for their participation in the trade fair from Innosuisse, the Swiss government’s innovation promotion agency.

Tech Discovery Mission for Swiss Companies

Switzerland Global Enterprise is also offering interested Swiss companies the Tech Discovery Mission to Las Vegas. In guided tours by tech specialists, guests will discover the highlights of the companies based there. The Mission will also allow the participating companies to get in contact with well-known American companies.
