HAEUSLER AG – Swiss precision shapes metal sheets for the world

Foundations for offshore wind turbines, large tank silos or pipelines for transporting energy are often built on machines from HAEUSLER AG. Since 1936, the company has been one of the world’s leading manufacturers of roll bending machines and complete systems for forming technology. Using its systems, thick metal sheets are bent with enormous force and the highest precision into large rounded shapes. The family-run mechanical engineering and technology company has its headquarters in Duggingen in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, and production sites in Switzerland and Germany. It employs around 140 people and generates annual sales of around CHF 40 million.

For research and development, the manufacture of key components and prototype construction, HAEUSLER consistently relies on Switzerland as a location. In use around the world

Depending on customer requirements, HAEUSLER offers standardized machines, customized systems or complete production systems. These are now in use in more than 70 countries and are sold worldwide through local partners.
The systems’ key areas of application vary depending on the region. In the USA, for example, they are used for large transport and storage containers. In Asia, the focus is on machines for the production of construction and transport pipes as well as for shipbuilding and wind tower structures. In the Middle East, on the other hand, a primary application of HAEUSLER machines is in forming pipelines.

Market-specific sales strategies

In order to strengthen its international market position, HAEUSLER relies on market-specific strategies. The company has had a presence in the important US market since the 1970s and has built up a dealer network that sells standard machines while maintaining contact with industry. As a result, HAEUSLER receives valuable information on individual customer requirements, which often lead to technically demanding custom products. The company is also consciously positioning itself in Asia on the basis of quality and technological performance. In China in particular, HAEUSLER stands out from significantly cheaper local suppliers. While production takes place locally, key technologies and core competencies are deliberately kept in Switzerland. 

HAEUSLER’s clear export strategy and deep understanding of the requirements of international markets convinced the jury of the Export Award 2026 and secured it a place in the final round.
