The American trade environment is shifting: As of April 2, 2025, the United States have announced new and sweeping tariffs on world-wide imports, amongst those also from Switzerland and the EU. With few goods exempt, the tariffs will go into effect between April 5 and 9, 2025. They will have far-reaching consequences for Swiss supply chains and export activities.
