(CONNECTCaffeina is expanding into Switzerland and opening a branch in Lausanne. This marks the Parma-based omnichannel agency’s first step into international markets, according to founder and managing partner Henry Sichel in a post. In Italy, Caffeina maintains offices in Rome and Milan in addition to its headquarters.

The agency’s current staff of 220 employees works across four business units: Consultancy, Creativity, Digital Product and Digital Media. Its client roster includes major brands such as Nutella, Pringles, AS Roma, Atkinsons, Etro, Chiesi and UnipolSai. Sichel describes the Swiss market as “one of the most demanding and high-end in Europe”. In Switzerland, the creative agency intends to focus primarily on serving the watch and luxury jewelry, food, beauty, pharmaceutical, financial services, sports and design industries.

Caffeina has entrusted the management of the Lausanne office to Italian-Swiss marketing specialist Andrea Caputo. The 50-year-old, who was born in Italy, served as Vice President and Head of Marketing (Global) and a member of the management team at Blancpain from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Rado from 2012 to 2018 and as Global Communications Director at Girard-Perregaux from 2006 to 2009.

Within the Swatch Group, he was also responsible for marketing at Swatch as well as Olympic projects for Swatch and Omega. Caputo holds an MBA from the London Business School, is an alumnus of IMD Lausanne and studied European Business at the University of Brighton and the Polytechnic University of Turin. He spent 30 years sitting on the client side during agency briefings, Caputo says in his own post: “The hardest lesson? The gap is rarely in the thinking. It’s in the execution.” His mission now is to close this gap: "That's exactly why I'm joining Caffeina." ce/mm
