Nüssli and eps have merged

Hüttwilen/Martinsried - The German event infrastructure company eps has acquired Nüssli, the Thurgau-based specialist for temporary event constructions. ETH ranks as Europe's top university in the first global AI higher education index

New York - The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) has ranked ninth in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Higher Education Index compiled by the New York-based AI communications agency 5W. This first global ranking of its kind evaluates which universities stand out as academic hubs for AI development.

Bachem invests in new large-scale facility in Sisslerfeld

Bubendorf/Eiken - Bachem Holding AG is looking to increase its capacity for the production of peptides and to this end is planning to construct a large volume production facility in Eiken. The investment volume amounts to 500 million Swiss francs. Production activities are set to begin in 2030.

Switzerland defends top spot in European innovation rankings

Brussels - Switzerland has topped Europe’s innovation rankings for the ninth consecutive year, according to the European Commission’s 2026 European Innovation Scoreboard. It has made particular strides in the digital skills of its population. However, it has seen declines in areas such as technology exports and trademark applications.

WeRide and Uber set sights on bringing Robotaxi services to Zurich

Zurich/Guangzhou - The Chinese technology provider WeRide and Uber are joining forces with the aim of launching Robotaxi services in the Greater Zurich area. The plan is for this service to begin before the end of this year, provided that the Federal Office of Transport gives the green light. WeRide has also supplied the technology for the iamo pilot project in the Furttal region.
