Based at Y-Parc in Yverdon-les-Bains, Novaccess develops and commercializes industrial Internet of Things technologies and products with mainly two applications : public lighting for smart cities and connected buildings (with a focus on fire safety).
Novaccess offers a breakthrough solution in the field of intelligent lighting. The Vaud-based company’s solution, called NovaLight, has been recognized as a "success story" by the Swiss Innovation Agency.
Thanks to this, Novaccess has been able to raise CHF 4.8 million, including CHF 3 million in the form of a loan guaranteed by the Swiss Technology Fund. The current fundraising will contribute to the marketing efforts of NovaLight and to the logistical support of the NovaSafety application, a fire safety solution that will be deployed in the United Arab Emirates from 2021.
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions through technology
“NovaLight has just received the support of the Technology Fund as it enables cities wishing to modernize their public lighting to obtain energy savings of 50% to 80%,” explains Simone Riedel, General Manager of the Technology Fund. “Those substantial savings will help achieve Switzerland’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% relative by 2030.”
