IFAT, the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies, is coming to South America for the first time with IFAT Brasil in São Paulo from April 24 to 26, 2024. Brazil faces significant environmental challenges in the fields of drinking water treatment, sewage and waste management. According to official estimates, around 35 million Brazilians have no access to treated water, and over 100 million people in Brazil are not connected to a sewage system. To address these challenges, the Brazilian government has decided to privatize the water and sewage sector, which is expected to attract private investment of more than $50 billion over the next decade.
