Cybersecurity expert Approach launches Swiss presence

Belgian company Approach has joined forces with Swiss IT services provider EYRA Group to offer cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to companies and international institutions based in Switzerland.

Geneva Jet d'Eau
EYRApproach plans to hire around 20 employees in 2021 across four Swiss offices.

Branded EYRApproach and based in Geneva, the new entity perfectly complements EYRA Group’s offering in Switzerland, with the addition of Approach’s 20 years of know-how in the field of cybersecurity. This joint venture also allows Approach to expand its offering in Managed Security Services and Cloud Security in Belgium and throughout Europe. The two companies now have several highly secure hosting centers, as well as a 24/7 cyber monitoring team (“Security Operation Center”) which operate from Switzerland, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Sustainable international growth

Founded in 2001, Approach employs more than 80 people spread across two sites in Belgium. “We are accelerating our international development and our mission now extends to Switzerland”, explained David Vanderoost, CEO of Approach, in a press release. “2020 has been a revealing year for us. Our activities have experienced strong growth despite a very complicated global context.” Building on its success in Belgium, Approach now aims to grow internationally in a sustainable way: “EYRA Group is the ideal partner to engage with confidence and serenity in Switzerland, one of the most demanding markets. Our expertise and our values combine perfectly”, the CEO added. EYRA Group – a key player in the IT market in Switzerland –  has subsidiaries in Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel, and Zurich.

A strategic, proactive, and pragmatic cybersecurity approach

“Our 360° approach provides all our customers – Belgian, Swiss and others – with a capacity for cyber resilience that will allow them to defend themselves, to prepare themselves to face potential threats but also to get back up after a hard blow”, said Yves Froppier, who has taken on the operational management of EYRApproach. The company – whose establishment at the heart of the Swiss Trust Valley was facilitated by GGBa and DG DERI – plans to hire around 20 employees in 2021 across all four Swiss offices. EYRApproach is among the sponsors of the upcoming Swiss Cybersecurity Days (10-11 March), where it will host a best practice session on “ISO 27701: a great tool to drive privacy compliance (FADP, GDPR, …)”.
