In 2021 the international exhibition on plastics and rubber industries moves from Guangzhou to the larger exhibition centre in Shenzhen.

Accompanying the growth of China's plastics and rubber industries for over 30 years, Chinaplas has become a distinguished meeting and business platform for these industries and has also largely contributed to their prosperous development. At present, Chinaplas is not only the largest plastics and rubber trade fair in Asia, it is also widely recognized by the industry as the 2nd most influential exhibition in the world.
Organiser Adsale has announced that the 2021 edition will now take place in Shenzhen instead of Guangzhou, both in the Guangdong povince. The new Chinaplas location in Southern China connects Hong Kong with the Chinese mainland. Chinaplas alternates locations annually between Shanghai and Shenzhen (in the past Guangzhou).
The “Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center”, opened in 2019, boasts some 400,000 m². According to Adsale, Shenzhen has enough space for future expansions of the trade fair. The new exhibition site also offers better access to the high-tech companies of the city working in the areas of 5G, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and big data.
