The Cantonal Bank of Obwalden (OKB) has once again been recognized for its efforts in the area of wage equality, further details of which can be found in a press release covering the award of the Fair-ON-Pay Advanced label. This label reflects a positive assessment of businesses that have committed to guaranteeing equal pay for men and women in a particular manner.

OKB has once again confirmed its commitment to upholding “the equal opportunities practiced in everyday life” and has sent “a strong signal for fairness”, according to Managing Director Christoph Amstad, who adds: “It is important for us to be an exemplary employer that offers modern employment terms”.

Companies must have their remuneration practices regularly audited on an external basis as a prerequisite for obtaining the certification. OKB has had its salary standards reviewed by independent accredited equal pay experts for the past ten years.

The Fair-ON-Pay Advanced Label certifies that the bank has implemented particularly fair and just wage structures. “While the tolerance threshold for Fair-ON-Pay is 5 percent, the requirement criteria for Fair-ON-Pay Advanced are even stricter”, the press release explains. The Fair-ON-Pay standard, the label and the Fair-ON-Pay Association were founded by Comp-On AG, HR Solutions
