The Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Expo (H2 & FC EXPO) is Japan’s premier event for the hydrogen industry, featuring a wide range of products and technologies related to hydrogen and ammonia production, storage, distribution and utilization. As part of the World Smart Energy Week, which also covers other renewable energy sectors such as wind, solar, battery, smart grid, biomass and thermal power, the exhibition occurs biannually in the Tokyo area, and attracts a large and diverse international audience (approx. 60.000 visitors in March 2023).
Japan has a national vision to become a “hydrogen society” and has set ambitious goals to expand its hydrogen market and establish an international supply chain. Japan’s leading industrial players are eager to adopt new hydrogen and ammonia technologies that can reduce costs and enhance efficiency, and the market offers various opportunities for foreign companies in fields such as low-carbon hydrogen generation, supply chain development, infrastructure building, and technology innovation.
