The global COVID-19 health crisis accelerated e-commerce growth on the African continent. Online shopping spurred and the availability of local e-commerce platforms in the B2C but also in the B2B space increased significantly.
The Swiss Business Hub Southern Africa and a local e-commerce platform with focus on high-quality products from the DACH-region have joined forces to encourage Swiss exporters to take advantage of the tremendous growth of the e-commerce sector in key African regions and to make use of the opportunities that Africa's business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce space has to offer. The aim of the collaboration is to increase the visibility of Swiss and Liechtenstein companies that are interested in exporting their quality products to African wholesale buyers, alternatively who wish to expand their growth of sales to existing and new African regions, where Swiss products enjoy a high reputation for quality.
