Schindler's Ahead is a digital system that provides customers with important information about the status and service intervals of escalators and elevators in real time. Initially a web-based service, Ahead ActionBoard became a digital app in August 2019, allowing customers to access the information from a mobile device, too.
“The rapid flow of information independent of time or place means that problems can be dealt with much more quickly,” said Thomas Werren, head of digital products at Schindler Switzerland. “This saves time and money.”
The Ahead ActionBoard app is available in 28 languages and has already been downloaded more than 1,500 times. It was awarded bronze medals in both the Business Impact and Design categories at this year’s Best of Swiss App awards.
