Abacus developed the software deepO together with Arcanite, a spin-off of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Based on AI and machine learning, the software enables end-to-end automation of the entire bookkeeping process. deepO uses neural networks to independently filter out missing information from databases, making it possible to convert unstructured data into structured data. Artificial intelligence is used to detect differences among the data material. For example, the software can find VAT numbers in templates, even when these are located in different places.

The software company from the St.GallenBodenseeArea has also launched deepV, a platform for exchanging data. Until now, bookkeeping data often had to be sent as PDF documents, which was neither up-to-date nor secure. With deepV, this data is dynamically shown via links and can be selected for publication. In addition, individual areas can be commented on, and the data can be updated at anytime if necessary.
