Jedsy (Delivery Glider AG), a drone delivery company based in Berneck in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has announced a collaboration with Brazilian aviation firm Helisul Aviação. The Swiss start-up has granted Helisul exclusive rights throughout Brazil.

According to a press release issued by Jedsy, cooperation between the two companies has already begun with the purchase of a glider and three docking stations for windows and balconies, which Jedsy calls mailboxes. Helisul will deploy the first Jedsy drones in unpopulated areas, covering distances of up to 60 km beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).

Jedsy is also assisting Helisul in obtaining certification from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil, ANAC). From 2024, Jedsy will offer full simulator support and training for pilots and maintenance staff.

The press release states that Helisul is planning to procure over 500 Jedsy gliders by 2026, after obtaining its ANAC certification. This equates to a company investment of $26 million in drone technology. Helisul was founded 50 years ago and offers a comprehensive range of aviation services including air taxi and cargo transportation.
