Canada’s rail infrastructure projects
Canada is implementing the High Frequency Rail Project (HFR), the largest transportation infrastructure project that the country has seen in decades. It will create a modern rail service that uses mostly dedicated and electrified tracks between Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. Given the size of the project, the government of Canada is looking to leverage the world-class expertise of private sector companies that have experience with designing and implementing complex rail infrastructure projects. Moreover, multiple large-scale urban transit projects will be implemented in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton, in the next decade. This momentum creates sizeable business opportunities for Swiss companies in the rail sector.

About this webinar
S-GE and the Swiss Business Hub Canada provide a comprehensive overview of rail infrastructure projects across Canada. The webinar also present key opportunities and challenges in the Canada rail sector, rules and tips to access public procurement opportunities, and the main differences to consider regarding the nearby U.S. rail market. The program concludes with an experience sharing session and lesson learned from a Swiss rail company that has operations in Canada.
