Bühler and Icos join forces to promote start-ups

The Bühler Group and Icos Capital have agreed a partnership with the aim of networking start-ups active in the fields of chemicals and biotechnology, as well as the food sector. To this end, the two companies jointly organized the Collaborative Innovation Summit.

The Bühler Group, a technology company based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, and Icos Capital from the Dutch port city of Rotterdam held the Collaborative Innovation Summit in Uzwil in the canton of St.Gallen on February 29. With this event, the two companies are striving to create a network for collaboration and innovation, further details of which can be found in a press release. The target group includes start-ups active in the food industry, biotechnology and chemicals. At the event, a total of 30 companies from right across Europe presented their respective projects, which aim to support the introduction and strengthen the adoption of sustainable solutions in the targeted industries.

“Our goal at Icos Capital is to identify and invest in next-level innovations to accelerate sustainability”, comments Peter van Gelderen, General Partner at Icos Capital, in the press release. Through the company’s model of collaborative venturing, Icos is able to create win-win partnerships between corporates and start-ups that specialize in areas such as sustainable food, the circular economy, sustainable industry and decarbonization, he explains further.

“We’re delighted to play a role in strengthening this collaborative venturing approach to scale impactful innovation”, adds Ian Roberts, CTO of Bühler. The Collaborative Innovation Summit, which was held at Bühler’s CUBIC Innovation Campus was the first in a series of events that the two companies plan to stage across 2024.
