Zurich-based Verium AG has acquired a “significant minority stake” in Impact Acoustic AG. According to a statement from the Lucerne-based company, founders Sven Erni and Jeffrey Ibañezz, together with their co-founders, will retain a majority stake and remain the driving forces behind the company. Key employees have reportedly joined the group of investors represented by Verium.

With this transaction, Impact Acoustic intends to further expand its international presence and broaden its product portfolio. The environmentally friendly room acoustic solutions for ceilings, walls, lighting and room or table dividers, developed in collaboration with designers and architects, are made from postconsumer materials such as PET bottles or waste materials such as cotton thread.

The customized design solutions are created using algorithms. According to the statement, leading companies such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft trust Impact Acoustic's products. With production facilities in Switzerland, the Philippines and Italy, the company can produce locally and with lower emissions.

“Since our establishment in 2019, we've experienced an incredible entrepreneurial journey,” Erni and Ibañez are quoted as saying. “The investment by Verium represents another milestone for us, our team and the company. We are certain that, with Verium's backing, we can expedite our growth.”
