While the regulatory framework is moving in the right direction, enabling technology and know-how are still needed to scale up the development of such projects. In particular, micro-grid design and modeling capabilities, and specialized control software to manage and balance micro-grids are required, as well as asset control software and hardware. These areas could present partnership opportunities for overseas companies.
