The legal AI technology produced by Legartis will be integrated in a specialized AI module that it will develop together with multinational construction company Implenia, based in Opfikon in the canton of Zurich. As a Legartis press release explains, this will enable industry-tailored, automated and AI-supported construction contract review in future.

Implenia’s industry-specific expertise will be used to train the Legartis AI, according to Legartis CEO David A. Bloch. “These are optimal conditions for developing an efficient industry solution for AI-assisted construction contract reviews.” The partnership between Legartis, which operates across the DACH region from its base in Zurich, and Implenia underlines the commitment of both companies to realize the full potential of innovative digital technologies and establish themselves as pioneers in the use of AI for legal purposes in the construction industry.

“The partnership with Legartis is a signal to the construction industry that AI and legal departments are a good match,” says Dr. German Grüniger, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Implenia. “For us, the use of AI in the legal profession is an important step in our digitalization strategy and towards increasing efficiency”. Dr. Michael Burkart, Global Head Legal Operations & Strategy at Implenia, expects the use of AI to lead to “improved management of contract risks, higher standardization, and a significant relief for our legal experts.”
