The Health Innovation Hub will analyse the latest developments in technology, diagnostics, therapy and support, according to Baden Cantonal Hospital (KSB).

To support its work, the hub will launch different partnerships with startup companies. The aim is to help startups test their products and services more easily in a practice-oriented environment.

Another of the hub’s tasks will be to strengthen partnerships with surrounding research institutes such as the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen in the canton of Aargau, the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and the University Hospital Zurich. Many of the KSB’s exponents are involved with these institutes via teaching contracts or research activities.

“Technological innovation – often grouped under the term digitalization – is rapidly and permanently changing the health landscape. We want to be there at the start rather than the end of this rapid development. At the KSB, we intend to actively address and drive this process of change,” commented Daniel Heller, chairman of the board of directors of KSB AG.
