ENGEL places trust in high-tech units from St.Gallen

HB-Therm AG from St.Gallen makes high-tech devices for the plastics injection molding industry. The Austrian manufacturer of injection molding machines ENGEL uses these units and is planning to expand its cooperation with HB-Therm.

Mold temperature control has a significant influence on the efficiency and quality of the injection molding process. Higher temperature stability and process reliability in temperature control are therefore essential for manufacturers of injection molding machines. To this end, Engel Austria GmbH places its trust technology from St.Gallen. The company with headquarters in Schwertberg, Upper Austria, uses HB-Therm devices such as the e-temp control unit, it was reported in a press release.

HB-Therm produces its e-temp control units in St.Gallen, where its headquarters re based. According to Stefan Engleder, CEO of the Engel Group, e-temp is “the only temperature control unit on the market whose pump speed can be automatically regulated on demand according to current measurement data from the injection molding machine”. This networked temperature control solution consequently “combines maximum temperature stability with maximum productivity and energy efficiency”.

ENGEL and HB-Therm now reportedly intend to intensify their cooperation to further develop the temperature control units. Their aim is to achieve even higher energy efficiency and further digitalize the temperature control process.
