Bauwerk Parkett has achieved FloorScore certification for its entire range of hardwood flooring, as was reported in a press release. Products bearing the FloorScore label meet the indoor air quality emissions criteria. It is the most recognized indoor air quality (IAQ) certification standard for the North American floor covering market. Regular factory audits are also required for certification.

All of Bauwerk Parkett’s two-layer, three-layer and solid wood parquet have been awarded the FloorScore label. The certification program is an advantage when building classification programs such as LEED are required. Products certified with the label qualify for many green building schemes, including LEED and BREEAM. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a widely used green building rating system. BREEAM is a worldwide science-based suite of validation and certification systems for sustainable built environment.

Bauwerk Parkett has a long history of environmental leadership and underscores this with systematic checks by independent third parties, such as the eco-INSTITUT, the Sentinel Haus Institut, and now SCS Global Services in California, which issues FloorScore certification.

More than 60 percent of all Bauwerk Parquet products are made in St.Margrethen. The parent company, the Bauwerk Group, has two additional factories in Lithuania and Croatia as well as two production sites in Kentucky and Tennessee in the USA. In 2021, the Bauwerk Group sold 9.3 million square meters of parquet.
