The shells of the two joint QUBO buildings in Sarnen Nord have been built. It has been 16 months since the ground-breaking ceremony. According to a press release from Obwaldner Kantonalbank (OKB), this think tank of established companies, innovative startups, and co-working individuals aims to provide a space for meetings and interactive inspiration.
OKB is creating a new building there to offer a new home for innovative companies in Obwalden. The bank will provide the new building’s facilities as early as October 2023, mostly to the startup promotion association Startup Pilatus. OKB will set up its own innovation lab there for itself and others. Eberli AG is modernizing and expanding its existing headquarters there. Its two remodelling and expansion partners, werkunion ag and Orfida Treuhand + Revisions AG, will each occupy a floor as future joint owners of the building.
QUBO will provide space for events with up to 100 people on the first floor through the QULT bistro and the QLUB area. OKB describes the official opening scheduled for March 2024 as an “important milestone for the economic area of Sarnen and entrepreneurs in the region.”
