Brauerei Locher has opened its Brauquöll visitor center in Appenzell. As a press release explains, the company aims to provide insights into the craft and tradition of brewing. It has set up a new brewhouse in the center, where visitors can watch brewers at work and observe the brewing process right the way through from the mash, which is made from malt, hops, yeast and water, to the finished beer.

It has also installed a bar, where guests can taste the brewery’s speciality beers and whiskeys. Individual and group tasting experiences are available. Brauerei Locher hopes the visitor center will help publicize its products even more widely.

“Brauquöll is a place for meeting and interacting with others, as well as enjoying the experiences on offer,” says Aurèle Meyer, CEO of Brauerei Locher. “We are looking forward to welcoming individual visitors and groups from near and far and introducing them to the magic of beer brewing.”
