The new service known as myAirCargo will allow private individuals to have airfreight, such as motorbikes or artworks, delivered door-to-door. Militzer & Münch is to support Lufthansa Cargo with this service, announced the St.GallenBodenseeArea-based logistics company in a statement.
The service will first be rolled out on routes between Europe and the USA, with Militzer & Münch responsible for the European market. "We are glad we were able to convince Lufthansa Cargo with our knowhow to cooperate with us in Europe, in import as well as in export", explained Klaus Jäger, member of the Militzer & Münch group management.
With exports from Europe, the logistics company will collect the goods at the customer's, draw up the accompanying documents, get the shipment ready for transport and put it through security checks. With imports, Militzer & Münch will be responsible for customs clearance and delivery.
