3rd Swiss Symposium in Point of Care
Will the future of diagnostics be in the hands of the patients?
Are new engineering biology and data science tools fundamentally going to disrupt diagnostics?
Come and look with our speakers into the future of an improved and personalized healthcare!
The Symposium in Point-of-Care Diagnostics 2020 brings together leaders from industry, medicine and academia to share their experiences and explore collaboration possibilities, with the aim of initiating new projects and developing new products and exploiting new technologies.
In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic “point-of-care diagnostics” has received an entirely new meaning. It is not just about allowing doctors to take diagnostic and treatment measures immediately at the POC – although this is still pivotal. It is also about rapidly tracing a mobile, invisible and possibly deadly enemy amidst our communities who has started to take also an immense toll on global economy.
The implementation of systematic and widespread screening using innovative POC diagnostic tools has its challenges, no doubt, but there is surely societal acceptance and the costs would not be huge. On the contrary, it would support – in an ideal case – rapid containment and damage control.
Join the event to share your opinion and learn how innovative new technologies and smart product solutions respond to medical needs and recurring infectious diseases threats – beyond SARS-CoV-2.
