Carogusto, a start-up based in the St.GallenBodenseeArea, has developed a technology that can heat up meals fully in 30 to 45 seconds. This steam-based solution, called SiSiSi Qeamer, also works with QR codes, so that the device can automatically read how an individual meal should be heated. According to a press release from Selecta, a company based in Cham in the canton of Zug, it is now expanding its existing partnership with Carogusto.
Selecta provides warm meals for workplaces with its Foodies brand, operating in 16 European countries with this concept. In future, it will use Carogusto’s technology for this at all of its sites. Christian Schmitz, CEO of Selecta, comments in the press release: “Selecta is excited to work with such an innovative partner as Carogusto.” He adds that both companies share a vision of offering exciting, healthier, more flexible meal options.
The foodtech company from Amriswil in the canton of Thurgau provides SiSiSi Qeamer for partners ranging from canteens to gastronomy and factories. In addition to rapid heating, quality is also important, so that a “premium hot food experience” can be provided. Lucio Minosi, CEO ad interim at Carogusto, adds in the press release: “This is an important milestone in the history of the young company Carogusto. The partnership helps to multiply the system throughout Europe and thus to make it even better known.”
