Bartholet, a ropeway system construction company based in Eastern Switzerland, has won two contracts outside of Europe. The first is a new gondola lift in South Korea to be built by Bartholet. The cableway with 22 gondolas will be used at the adventure and theme park in the city of Yeosu. It will serve 2,300 people per hour.

The second contract is for Bartholet to deliver two systems to Russia. The ropeway system construction company signed an agreement with North Caucasus Resorts (NCR) for this through its recently established joint venture, LLC RT-Bartholet. Within the agreement, Bartholet will deliver chairlifts for the Veduchi ski and touristic resort in the Chechen Republic. These will be ready by the end of 2022.

Bartholet, headquartered in Flums in the canton of St.Gallen, is active in 18 countries and operates eleven factory workshops. The company has opened a new academy at its production facility in Moscow in November, which offers courses and training for ropeway system operators. According to information from Bartholet, it is also together working with “leading technical universities in Russia” for this.
