Daedalean raises 53 million Swiss francs

Daedalean AG has raised 53 million Swiss francs in a financing round. The Zurich startup develops artificial intelligence-based software for aircraft. The raised capital will enable the company to bring its suite to market over the next four years.

Daedalean has concluded a financing round worth 53 million francs, as was reported in a press release. The consortium of investors included Carthona Capital from Australia, the Californian Amino CapitalHoneywell Ventures from North Carolina in the USA and Redalpine Venture Partners from Zurich.

Daedalean specializes in creating artificial intelligence applications for autonomous flight. Its autonomous piloting software systems are built for application in civil aircraft and drones. To develop the software, Daedalean worked with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The raised capital will enable preparations for market launch. Daedalean expects to bring the first software suite to market over the next four years.

Daedalean is based in Zurich and has a team of more than 50.
