The Nidwalden-based company SoftwareONE has announced that it has agreed a partnership with Eye-Able, a German company from Margetshöchheim in the north of Bavaria. With this partnership, SoftwareONE becomes the first and only authorized reseller of Eye-Able’s innovative and award-winning inclusive technology in the United States, further details of which can be found in a press release. This underscores SoftwareONE’s efforts to support human rights through technology.

From now on, businesses and especially universities and health care institutions will be able purchase software licenses from Eye-Able via SoftwareONE in order to improve the accessibility of websites for the visually impaired and to create a more equitable digital learning and working environment. Eye-Able includes compliance and assistance software, as well as a browser extension for the assistance software that enables staff and students to customize online content and systems to best meet their individual needs.

“As technology and the digital environment continue to be the cornerstone of innovation and growth within society, we look forward to breaking down barriers and making this digital world more inclusive and equitable for all”, explains Dieter Schlosser, CEO of SoftwareONE, in the press release. The partnership was unveiled at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, which aims to advance higher education by leveraging the benefits of information technology.
