Bühler invested several million francs into the newly opened factory in Vietnam, which will produce rice processing machines for the Southeast Asian market. According to a company statement, the new factory includes a sales and service office, engineering and R&D units, as well as a production workshop. Bühler expects the factory to produce several hundred machines for Vietnam and its neighbouring countries each year.

According to Bühler, the demand for state-of-the-art rice processing solutions “has never been greater”. The new factory will enable Vietnam to strengthen its position and boost its competitive edge over Thai and Cambodian rice producers.

The modern facility will improve rice equality and meet export requirements, while enhancing food safety and quality standards for domestic consumption, writes Bühler.
