According to a press release issued by Hirslanden AG, the Hirslanden Group from Opfikon in the canton of Zurich has drawn up plans to develop a digitally supported healthcare ecosystem together with the Medbase Group, a healthcare service provider from Winterthur, the health insurance firm Groupe Mutuel based in Martigny in the canton of Valais, Helsana from Dübendorf in the canton of Zurich and Swica located in Winterthur. To this end, the four partners based in the Greater Zurich Area and Groupe Mutuel have founded the joint venture Bluespace Ventures AG, which is headquartered in Winterthur. The healthtech project Compassana is open to all stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
“Our intention is to sustainably change the healthcare system for the better, making it more straightforward and efficient”, explains Marcel Napierala, CEO of Medbase and Chair of the Board of Directors at Bluespace Ventures AG, before adding: “We believe this can only be achieved when players from different areas within the healthcare sector come together to develop joint, innovative solutions”.
The press release explains that the centerpiece of Compassana is a portal that customers can use to independently coordinate their healthcare. “Compassana will offer much more than basic digital services including checking symptoms, making appointments, and medical consultations over the phone”, comments Peter Mittemeyer in the press release. In this context, the CEO of Bluespace Ventures AG cites “digitally supported and medically optimized treatment or therapy options for general medical conditions”. The market entry of Compassana is expected to be finalized during the course of this year.
