FemTec Health is expanding its health and beauty offering for North American women with the fertility tracker bracelet created by Ava from Zurich. In return, existing Ava users will have access to FemTec’s holistic offerings. The individually tailored services include on-demand telehealth services, at-home diagnostics, monthly subscription boxes, wellness products, prescription delivery, educational content and stress management tools.
“Ava’s vision has always been to be a companion to women along every stage of their lives,” said Lea von Bidder, Ava co-founder and CEO, in a FemTec press release. “With Ava’s female health AI integrated into FemTec’s care platform, women will finally have access to a fully continuous health journey.”
Ava’s cycle-tracking technology is integrated in a bracelet, which women trying to conceive can wear at night. Via an app, it determines the five fertile days of a cycle. The technology brings together machine-learning algorithms and clinical science. The fertility tracking solution was officially cleared in the USA by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in February 2021.
The Ava bracelet is now sold in 36 countries and has reportedly helped over 70,000 women become pregnant. Ava was voted Best of Baby Tech at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, named an Editors’ Choice product by Women's Health magazine and honored as a CB Insights Digital Health 150 company.
