Totemo brings Kiteworks to the Greater Zurich Area

The Californian IT provider Kiteworks is taking over Totemo AG, which specializes in secure emails. As part of the merger, Totemo’s headquarters at Zurich Airport will become Kiteworks’ central office for the regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Kiteworks based in Silicon Valley is acquiring a company from the Greater Zurich Area. According to a press release, it is taking over Totemo AG, which is based in The Circle at Zurich Airport. The company, which was established in 2001, specializes in increasing email security. It was previously owned by its two founders.

Kiteworks provides solutions for the management and protection of sensitive digital content. It now plans to integrate Totemo’s encryption technology into its offering, thus strengthening its position with regard to the communication of confidential information.

As part of the merger, Totemo’s headquarters in Kloten will become Kiteworks’ central office for the regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Furthermore, the two founders of Totemo will join the exectuive team at Kiteworks.

Dario Perfettibile, Co-Founder and CEO of Totemo, states in the press release: “The combination of Kiteworks and totemo presents a great opportunity to expand the reach of totemo’s email encryption use cases further into other markets.”
