Follow the living lab approach 

With Win.Lab, Smart City Winterthur invites public private people partnerships (mixed innovation teams with representatives from public administration units, companies and start-ups, science and students, NGOs and citizens) following the living lab approach to test in systematic ways social and technological innovations supporting the smart sustainable city development especially in the context of the Energy and Climate Concept 2050. 

Contribute to decarbonisation

The recently published Energy and Climate Concept 2050 by the City of Winterthur aiming at net zero t CO2 by 2050 lists 54 measures in different action fields. You are cordially invited to develop your promising ideas for decarbonisation (within energy efficiency, mobility, circular economy, or/and digitalisation) together with great minds at the Open Lab Day in the context of the SGES innovation Forum Smart Cities on 3rd September 2021 in a co-creative design thinking process to be posted on the HYPE platform and contributing to the development of Smart City Winterthur. The best ideas will be selected and win seed money to be further developed into a major innovation project. More information available on SmartCity@win.ch
