In 1994, T.V. Mohandas Pai joined Infosys, a $5m Bangalore-based IT start-up. Serving as CFO and Board Director for 17 years, he played a pivotal role and became the first Indian CFO to list a company on the NAS-DAQ Stock exchange. Today, Infosys is capitalised at $34bn and employs 200,000 people worldwide.
Pai has emerged as one of India’s most prominent figures in business and public policy. He will deliver a talk exploring the idea of a new EU-India corridor, combining Europe’s tremendous capacity for technological in-novation, with the world’s largest, fastest-growing market. He will delve into the technological, social, and economic disruptions which are fuelling the rise of a fierce competitor to China.
